We’re planning a camping trip and needed another headlamp. With perfect timing, I was offered a discount on the BoldBrite Headlamp in exchange for a review. It’s already proven useful for finding things in the garage.

The BoldBrite headlamp has a 120 lumen super bright LED. There’s a button on top of the light to turn it on, off, and cycles through the different options: bright, normal, red, blinking red, and off.

It has one adjustable reflective strap that goes around your head. It fits me snugly (but comfortably) on the loosest setting. The strap stretches, so it will also fit larger heads (though I wouldn’t classify my head as notably small). It can also be adjusted to fit a child’s head. My 4-year-old wanted to claim it as soon as he saw it.

The angle of the light can be adjusted to 4 different positions, from straight forward to 45 degrees downward. The pictures below show the furthest position downward. If you needed the light to shine upward, you could wear it upside down.

It’s comfortable to wear and doesn’t dig into my head. The forehead panel is curved to fit your forehead. I have another headlamp with a rechargeable battery, but it sacrifices comfort due to the battery pack and the extra weight. This one requires 3 AAA batteries (included), making it lightweight and comfortable. It’s also waterproof, though I have not tested that feature.

The seller is committed to customer satisfaction, offering a 100% money-back guarantee and a lifetime warranty. It’s easy to get in contact because they email a few times after ordering to ensure satisfaction. Check it out on Amazon here.

We plan to use it on our upcoming camping trip, but it’s also useful for grilling at night, power outages, and home improvement projects. What would you use it for?

This headlight would be very useful in a lot of situations! I love that it’s hands free, and it looks pretty bright. I would definitely buy one! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

Do you get hot wearing it? The headband part?

I haven’t had a problem with that, but it hasn’t really been hot out when I’ve worn it. I’m sure it would if you wore it in an attic in the summer, but I don’t think it would be worse than others.

I think my future children will get a lot more use out of any headlamp more than I would. Thanks for posting that so at least I know one brand of headlamps.

Such a great item to keep next to your bed when the power goes out…this looks like a good one that I can hang on the bedpost!

They are so handy and a great replacement for torches when you need to keep your hands free.

I know my family could really use one of these. We have a very long backyard that extends around both sides of our house (right and left). We also have a high-ceiling attic and a poorly lit garage. This could really come in handy!
