Coloring is probably the obvious choice for the letter C, but I’m adding a cardboard box. It’s free, the kids can get inside it, the mess is contained, and it makes getting a package even more exciting. My kids were entertained for a solid 45 minutes with the box in the pictures. This gave me time to get the dishes done, which is a big win for me.

My son did get protective over his “areas,” so it would have been better if they each had their own box. My daughter also colored on herself and her brother, but it washed off. I did miss the spot on the back of my son’s neck, so he looked like he had a tattoo. I just thought it was funny. They also tried packing themselves in the box:

Have you tried this with your kids? How did it go?
