I’ll admit, Q was a struggle. My husband suggested quicksand, and alas, there’s a recipe for that. It’s just 2 parts cornstarch to 1 part water. Super easy!

We tried it today, and it was very interesting! I’ve never seen real quicksand to compare, but it definitely had unique properties. It feels solid and clumpy when you move it around, but drips like a liquid when you leave it alone.

Such a cool experiment for kids! Have you ever made quicksand before? What other play “recipes” have you tried?

Interesting Idea to make artificial Quicksand. I will try the recipe when I spend time with the children at a family get-together.

I haven’t made quicksand before, I’ll stick to regular sand. I love making sandcastles and I don’t think quicksand can do the job, I know it won’t do the job. I’d like to see someone try.

Agreed, I don’t think quicksand would work for a sandcastle
