The Simple Life Cycle Quart Mason Jar Cold Brew Coffee Maker is such a convenient way to make cold brewed coffee. I’ve made it in a French press a couple times, but then you have to pour it into another container to stop brewing. With this, you just take the filter out. That’s it. You can leave it in the fridge until it’s gone. You can even start a new batch in another mason jar. Just put a regular mason jar lid on the first jar, and use the filter and wooden lid on a new jar.
The filter is very fine, and no coffee grounds passed through. It’s stainless steel and good quality. It will last for a long time. The instructions say to put 1 cup of coarse ground coffee beans, fill the jar with water, and brew for 12-24 hours. This makes a coffee concentrate that you can dilute with water. I just need to figure out the right dilution ratio. I’ve been doing a ratio of 1:1, and it seems about right for me. I just poured some in a cup and filled with water. It tasted delicious.
It’s simple to use, all parts are reusable (no waste), and the jar is easily replaceable if it breaks. You can even compost the coffee grounds. I have no complaints and am very happy with it. This would make a great gift for any coffee (or tea) lover.
