This is so simple, but so much fun! Just get some little toy dinosaurs and bury them in the sandbox. If you don’t have a sandbox, put some sand in a shallow plastic storage tub (like the ones designed to fit under a bed). Give the kids some little shovels, and let them dig away to find the dinosaurs.
You can also do variations with different animals and digging materials. Sea creatures and water beads. Worms and soil. Get creative!
